A Family that travels together, stays together.
Travel has ALWAYS been a part of their lives. Living in small town northern Alberta for more than a decade means that you either never leave the area or you learn to LOVE driving. EVERYTHING is FAR. Luckily, they have been blessed with a family that enjoys time spent in a vehicle or plane. Let’s find out who these four people are!
Geoff – The Dad
43 year old entrepreneur who has a passion for the outdoors, writing and his family. He is a husband, father, coach and former town councillor. He grew up in rural central Alberta to parents who also had the travel bug. In his younger years they would cart himself and his younger brother all over Canada and the USA in a pickup with camper in tow. High school became the start of yet another full decade of travel when the rodeo scene took this bullrider across Canada and most of the west central United States. In 2005 he met who is now his best friend and mother to his two beautiful children, Patty. This began their life in the north and what is to become their biggest journey yet…
Patty – The Mom
40 year old manager of a financial institution with incredible research and organizational skills. Her amazing attributes don’t stop there. She is a budding artist with a pallet and knife that can whip up a painting in the blink of an eye that never ceases to amaze and is also a talented photographer. Patty grew up in the area that her family now calls home. Patty has never been afraid to leave though. Her passion for travel has seen her in many countries including Scotland, Ireland and England but her most revered adventure came in 2003 when she jumped in her jeep and drove across Canada by herself staying in dorms and making new friends along the way. She is a wife, a mother, a daughter and an adventure seeker.
Reid – The Son
9 year old boy with a heart of gold who enjoys sports, drawing and the odd YouTube video. Reid is a talented hockey goalie with great soccer skills as well. His passion for drawing finds him with papers scattered about showing anything from crazy looking hamburger monsters and zombie kittens to intricate maps and blueprints of his next adventure or invention.
Lela – The Daughter
7 year old girl who’s coloring and drawing skills rival any young child her age. Since she was old enough to hold a crayon, she has been providing her family with art that adorns every available spot in the house that a paper can be taped. She loves to organize and clean. Her love of gymnastics finds her flipping, jumping, and doing cartwheels or handstands all over the yard and on every piece of furniture in the house. Lela hopes to one day own her own horse and will most likely name it Spirit.
These four individuals have been brought together to embark on a remarkable journey and adventure. The love of family and new experiences will be forefront as they make their way around the globe.
